Have a massive stack of vinyl, a wall of worthy books or a large collection of rare finds or collectibles? You might be what we call a “super seller.” Call ahead to your local 2nd & Charles to see if you can schedule a private buyback session. Learn more.

We have a three-tote maximum at all stores. When you arrive, you can fill up to three full buyback totes for one sale/visit. Have more stuff? There’s always a next time.

That depends on how many people are there in front of you and if you’ve sold with us before. First time sellers will need to create an account, which just takes a few minutes. Once you hand over your stuff for evaluation, the buyback manager will give you a timing estimate. You can also choose between email and text notifications for when your offer is ready.

That’s easy. You just have to bring the stuff you want to sell, a valid government-issued photo ID and be at least 18 years old.

We don’t accept advanced reading copy books, magazines, textbooks, PC games, or VHS tapes. Our trade-in folks will also take other factors into consideration — such as age, demand, and condition — when deciding whether or not to accept your items and how much to offer you for them.

Shoppers

No problem!  2ndandcharles.com will accept most returns within 30 days of order receipt on items that are returnable.  We cannot accept returns of products marked non-returnable.

Items returned will be refunded to the original payment method or a gift card. 

*Please note that shipping and handling charges are not refunded. A refund will only be applied for the amount paid for the merchandise. 

*Return Policy: This does not apply to non-returnable items.

Return via Mail:

To return an item within 30 days of order receipt if the item is returnable:

  • Email our Customer Service department at [email protected]
    • Please include the following information:
    • Order ID number, Reason for return, Item(s) you are returning
  • A return label with the address of the store will be emailed to you within 48 hours.
  • Securely pack the item(s) that you are returning to us.  
  • Affix the label, apply adequate postage, and ship the package.  
    • We are not responsible for the item until it arrives at our facility.  Save your tracking information. 
  • Our Returns Department will issue your refund once the return is processed.

Return to Store:

Returning items to your local store can eliminate any potential shipping costs if you return items via mail.  To return your merchandise, be sure to bring your item, a shipping invoice, or a receipt that was included with your purchase.  You can use the Store Locator to find a store near you.  

**The Fine Print:  When returning electronic devices, please remove any personal data and information saved to your device.  Electronic returns, such as Compact Discs, DVDs, Video Games, and Consumer Electronics (headphones, speakers, etc.), must be sealed in the original package unless defective. Defective returns are subject to the same constraints as other merchandise. Defective merchandise must be returned with the original packaging.

2nd & charles store credit can be redeemed for anything in the store (except gift certificates), and it never ever expires. This probably goes without saying, but store credit cannot be redeemed for cash. All you need to redeem your store credit is a government-issued photo id.

We-cycling is a communal (and arguably way more fun) version of recycling. It’s selling/trading in your old stuff so it can have a new life with someone else.
